Basic information about Traditional Chinese Exercise, an ancient Chinese martial art practiced worldwide today mainly for its extraordinary health and relaxation effects. In the summer of 1989, the author successfully completed a coaching course organized by the Chinese Wushu Association in Beijing. Immediately afterwards, he founded the Czech Center for Traditional Chinese Exercises. In November 1993, as the first Czechoslovak the competitor successfully participated in the World Wushu Championship (Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur). At the same time, at the conference of the member countries of the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), he ensured the acceptance of the Czech Republic into this, the most important world organization in the field of wushu.
