Juraj Prohácka (academic painter and passionate mineral collector) is known in professional circles as the "stone painter". His works are specific in that they capture the textures and colors of minerals with scientific precision, but with an artistic sensibility. The book was not published in Czech, but due to the topic it is also popular in the Czech Republic.
